I really wish we lived close enough to have more lessons here. Visited twice while on holiday from Scotland and haven’t found anywhere locally that makes lessons as fun and productive. May need to come down again for a week!

I ride here every weekend and have never looked back. My riding has improved so much since I began coming here last year, fantastic instructor and fabulous horses, (although you do have to work in your lessons, no sitting back and trotting around in circles!!). Nice varied lessons and some lovely hacking, looking forward to a summer’s riding here. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, deffo the place to go if you really want to improve with your riding ability.

Took my daughter on holiday and they accommodated a beach trek for her at short notice. She went on the 1.5hr beach trek and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pleasant people and rode a lovely horse called Fern. Would highly recommend 🐎

Cant fault them in any way, friendly, knowledgeable, family oriented stables. I go twice a week, a riding lesson with Paul, he makes the lessons fun, interesting, attempts something new each week, I have gained confidence and learnt so much more. 2nd lesson is a driving lesson with Maria, been learning for 6 months, she is patient, knowledgeable and both will explain the why’s, what for’s and how to’s. Like being a kid all over again! :0)

Competitors all seemed to enjoy themselves despite the weather. The judges were amazing!
Lovely tasty BBQ plenty of variety and hot drinks to warm us up.

Fantastic place the team are great I was looking for somewhere my 13 year old daughter could ride near our holiday home and found black cat on Google. We called in to see the team and met Lauren who was really friendly and helpful and gave some sound advice on what’s best to develop my daughter’s riding after a few lessons she enrolled in the pony club for 3 days and she had the time of her life came away with certificates and rosets and couldn’t stop talking about it. We love the place so much we got her a horse of her own now I have lessons with her and it’s something we do together. 1st class people and everyone is so helpfully. Looking forward to a beach ride next year! Thanks Lauren for your brilliant patience with me and lucy.

The Uni of Nottingham Equestrian Club has sent two lots of riders for beach rides at Black Cat this weekend and both groups had a brilliant time! Lovely horses, super friendly staff and a gorgeous beach, we can’t wait to come back again next year!

However, good advice and communications from the start and in the safe hands of the very professional team at the Black Cat Equestrian Centre she absolutely loved it. It has been 30 plus years since I did any regular riding, and I am thoroughly enjoying coming here. After just 3 lessons, my confidence and skills have improved immensely thanks to the instructors who are very competent and encouraging, and the lovely Jasper who is such a well behaved horse. I love this place! I was there a week ago riding my all time favourite horse ever…Paddy! It was my third year of visiting this equestrian centre and although we could have done with borrowing a few horses to get to Mayblethrope after our car broke down in the car park, I will def be back and hopefully before waiting a year this time! The staff and overall team are great, friendly with a good sense of humour and very chatty over the hours hacking which makes it much more easier and memorable! I said I would leave a review as a compromise for Lauren to add/follow me on fb after 3 years of hearing about my singing/rapping but me never demonstrating this haha! So feel free to add me, as I said I do plenty of live vids and have a gig tomorrow so there’s bound to be practise vids later

Went for a family riding session, most of us have never ridden before and it was lovely! Great, friendly horses – obviously well-loved and used to being around people. Staff friendly and helpful and really know their stuff. Would definitely recommend.
